In the year 2017 under the governance of BJP-Shivsena Hon. Shri Devendra Fadnavis ammended the Slum Re-Development Act . This ordeal got issued to implement the decision regarding the eligibility of Slums. But after the change of Government, Mahavikas Agahdi Government ignored the ordeal.
For the same a Demonstration was staged in order to hear the demands of the slum dwellers to get their Rightful Homes. This was carried out under the leadership of North Mumbai MP Mr. Gopal Shetty.
